Artwork by Nell is proving so popular with our customers that Nell is painting more to help us keep up with demand.

Nell studied sculptural ceramics in York where she discovered a passion for figurative work. Her contemporary figurative designs won the Wedgwood and Coalport design award 1998.

Her current work is fuelled by her interests in interior design, fashion illustration, comic book art, textile designs of the 1950's and 60's, and a rediscovered fascination with Sindy dolls.

Nell say's " I strongly believe in making art which people can feel at home with. My aim is to produce pieces which complement and are complemented by real, everyday environments. For that reason, my paintings are more likely to be found in restaurants, bars, chapels and even hairdressing salons rather than in an art gallery".
