IRENE ANN MILL

Irene began painting in 1990 and is mostly self-taught. At the end of 1999 she resigned as Head of English and Director of Studies at a girls' prep school to concentrate on painting full time.

The subjects of her paintings are varied but she is inspired by colour and mood and the style in which she paints is very much influenced by this, which means that one piece of work may be completely abstract whilst another may require a more representational approach to express and convey the mood and power of the moment.
